'One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted. Do it now.' - Paul Coelho

That quote can be found on Driving Miss Norma's Facebook page. She travels across the United States, visiting historic locations, partaking in numerous adventures, and documenting them all online. She's also 90 years old.

It wasn't until Norma received some devastating news that she decided to pursue the incredible journey.

Within a two-week span, Norma's husband and partner of 67 years passed away and she was diagnosed with cancer. The doctor told Norma her options: surgery, radiation, and chemo. Still, there was no guarantee that she would survive the initial surgery.

Norma said to the doctor...

"I'm 90 years old, I'm hitting the road."

She told her family beforehand that she had no interest in receiving treatment, and they respected her decision. Not wanting to leave Norma home alone without Leo or in a nursing home, they came up with a plan.

Norma was going to go on an adventure around the United States

Her family asked the doctor if they felt it was an irresponsible decision.

"As doctors,” he said, “we see what cancer treatment looks like every day. ICU, nursing homes, awful side effects and honestly, there is no guarantee she will survive the initial surgery to remove the mass. You are doing exactly what I would want to do in this situation. Have a fantastic trip!”

So the decision was truth

Norma hit the road with some family members to venture across the country. She may be under five feet and only 105 pounds, but her photos show that she is larger than life.

She's been documenting her adventures on her Facebook page, Driving Miss Norma

Norma has been traveling around the U.S. for the past six months with her family in a motor home. It doesn't look like she shows any signs of slowing down either.

Ninety is just a number to Norma, because you're only as young as you feel, right?

Her signs of cancer have reduced and she doesn't feel any pain

Her age hasn't slowed her down one bit, and she clearly isn't afraid to embrace her silly side. I mean, how awesome is that bright red boa? Work it, girl!

She appreciates the finer things in life

You never outgrow a sweet tooth. When you can't decide on one cake, why not try them all! We're guessing that Norma ate the whole thing.
