Boring, white plastic silverware is old news to artist Qiyun Deng. Recently, the innovative product designer developed a collection of environmentally-friendly, but still disposable, silverware and serving bowl concepts that look just like everyday plants and vegetables. The series, end Graft, features objects constructed out of bioplastic PLA, a material pulled from renewable sources like vegetable fats and oils.br/Graft was produced as part of Deng's diploma project at the ‰cole cantonale d'art de Lausanne in Switzerland and it is strongly inspired by nature. The artist crafted forks, spoons, and knives that blend nature together with manmade objects that we use everyday.
